Persona or a Project: Bianca Censori’s Outfits in the Public Eye

Kanye West dropped jaws at the Grammys this year around, but not for the reason you might think. More than just an award show, the Grammys are a venue for the year’s most prominent figures to show off their newest looks. Whether it’s Chappell Roan debuting another eclectic ensemble or Sabrina Carpenter stunning in baby blue, the Grammys pay homage to the people that we love. 

So when West and his wife, Bianca Censori, appeared on the scene, it raised more than a few eyebrows. The cameras captured the unforgettable moment where West whispers something to Censori. She shakes her head. Finally she relents, and walks towards the cameras. She drops a pose. And then she drops her coat. Onlookers are aghast. Censori is wearing nothing but a silicone, see-through dress. Everything is on display. West stands a few feet beside her, hands clasped as paparazzi clamor to get the winning shot. 

Currently, the moment has induced a media frenzy, with “Bianca Censori Grammys” gunning to the top of search results. More than one person is wondering what happened? Was it her choice? Many believe that West is at the heart of the creative decisions behind Censori’s outfits. He is often featured in the all black outfit while Censori is left vulnerable, from donning a sheer raincoat or hugging a pillow as a top. His history of squeezing submission through clothing existed during his time with Kim Kardashian and appears to be the case now. Now, this dynamic plays out in real time, as Censori bears the brunt of West’s need for control. 

Amidst rumours of divorce, the couple confirms that they are still staying married. In fact, Kanye recently announced the development of his feature film, titled Bianca=/m. Of course, Bianca Censori will star in the titular role as the movie attempts to “explore the female body”. There are reports of multiple scenes where Bianca will be featured fully nude, writhing around the floor in a blonde wig. 

Looking across the vast expanse of gossip columns and articles, there are conflicting reports on the true nature of Censori and West’s bizarre spectacles. Some say Censori is actively considering divorce, that she’s sick and tired of Kanye orchestrating control through the clothing she wears. Other articles report that she fully enjoys the limelight she receives from the stunts. However, the most crucial source is missing: Bianca herself. Her social media is all but bare, the only post depicting her without clothing on the ground.
