4 Spring Trends to Ask For At Your Next Nail Appointment

While there’s no denying that a perfect nude pink in the form of “Funny Bunny” or “Bubble Bath” by OPI will always be classic and timeless, this spring we’re bringing back colors, and bright ones. This upcoming season, along with fashion, nail trends are screaming maximalism over minimalism, including pops of color and fab designs. Neutral chrome and plain neutrals had their place this winter, so get excited for your next nail appointment!

Next time you treat yourself, here are 4 spring nail trends to try out!

  1. Fruit Designs

In my opinion, one of the best parts about summer is the abundance of fresh, in-season fruit. In the meantime, the best you might be able to do for now is get them painted onto your nails.

Fresh oranges and limes… What screams spring and summer more than citrus?

If you’re not into citrus, you could put a literal twist on “blueberry milk” nails by combining actual blueberries and light blue french tips as your design.

2. Bright French

While this may seem like a throwback to elementary school when we thought rainbow nails were to die for, throwing in a pop of color may brighten your mood when the sky is gray for days on end.

While still keeping it sophisticated with a neutral french base, adding just a pop of color at the tips will give it the perfect twist. Or, you could also pick a single bright solid color and add a few accent nails like the inspo pic below.

3. Ceramic Patterns

If you have complete faith in your nail tech and think they’re up for a challenge, try out these ceramic pattern-like french tips. These details look like they belong on a bottle of Clase Azul and scream vacay vibes.

4. Realistic Florals

Nothing signals the start of spring more than budding flowers - why not get them on your nails? But more than just adding a flower or two on an accent nail, these gorgeous floral designs are intricate and graceful. Try including soft pastels for the petals and soft greens for the stems to give it a more natural look!

With all the ups and downs of the spring weather, a perfect way to ensure pops of color in your wardrobe is having fun nails. Even when you’re drowning in finals and rain, if you have cute nails, what could go wrong?
